Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the brain of computer. All the logical and arithmetical task will performed by the different parts of CPU. Using the CPU computer will perform there task in very fast time. Different parts of CPU are works different types of task.

**Processing Units : One of the most important parts of computer is processing unit or you can say CPU(Central Processing Unit). CPU is called 'The brain of Computer'. Processing Unit are divide into three parts -

How CPU Process

**Control Unit(CU) : All the task of computer control by CU. It is work like a bridge  between ALU  and Memory Units.

**Arithmetic and Logic Units(ALU) : All the Arithmetic operation likes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division are performed here. ALU takes data (input) form Control Unit (CU) and after making there job it will give the information (after processing the data) to CU. Except mathematical operation it will perform all the logical operation(AND, OR, NOT, XOR, XNOR, NAND, NOR).

Accumulator is one of the most important parts of ALU. All the input, output related task  are goes through the  Accumulator .

**Storage and Memory Units :  In the Processing unit small amount of  memory is present there, likes Register, Internal cache memory(level 1), Program counter etc..
